The Paper Angels recently returned from 3 days of Convention in Melbourne, which was fabulous – cold, but fabulous! What many people don’t realise is, that Stampin’ Up! also run Regional events once per year in addition to Convention. Regionals run for one day and include heaps of inspiration and training, just like Convention. Registration always includes a stamp set and make & take materials, which are always a great hit with demonstrators.
I thought I would share some of the photo highlights from the Brisbane Regionals in 2009. Amongst a variety of cool ideas and techniques, we learnt how to make a gorgeous divided gift box as well as some spectacular punch art. I also remember Leonie ‘souveniring’ (spelling?) our Australian Manager’s card which he demonstrated – I think it made Aaron’s day! At the end of the day, the Paper Angels gathered at a Southbank Turkish Restaurant and had a fabulous dinner complete with belly dancing! We were a bit squished in our bench seats but did we enjoy ourselves – YES!
Imagine joining the Paper Angels at the next Regionals. You do not need to be a demonstrator to attend, although the guest tickets are slightly more expensive. It is certainly a great way to get a taste of the Stampin’ Up! experience. More detailed information will become available in the comming months, but in the meantime, here are the locations and dates for Stampin’ Up! Regional Events in 2011.
Cairns – 20th August, Hobart – 3rd September, Sydney – 10th September, Adelaide – 17th September, Perth – 24th September, Canberra – 29th October, Brisbane – 5th November, and Melbourne – 12th November.
I would love to welcome new demonstrators and guests to these great events. Please let me know if you would like to be specifically updated when more detailed information comes to hand.
